On Monday, October 21, I joined a long line of dedicated citizens all submitting the filing paperwork to get on the ballot for our Consolidated Municipal Elections happening on April 1, 2025. It was a spirited atmosphere full of hope and possibilities. Even rivals exchanged handshakes and warm greetings. Seeing democracy blossom in Skokie has been a true gift.
It is with my deepest gratitude to the people who made this possible, the Alliance for Electoral Reform. Without their vision and perseverance, we would not have been able to open up Skokie politics to more candidates. This inclusive vision is an inspiration and I am deeply thankful to the work done. I'm standing on the shoulders of giants.
Looking forward to the next few months of learning even more about my beloved District 3 and about the needs of Skokie as a whole.
